Dear AHCC Family and Friends,
It is time for our annual January fast and consecration. This sacred time of dedication and seeking God’s face will be a time to align ourselves with His will and prepare for the extraordinary things He will do in this season of life.
Let us approach this time with open hearts, trusting in the move of God to transform, renew, and strengthen us. Be encouraged to:
Prepare Yourself Spiritually and Practically: Seek God through prayer, meditate on His Word, and set aside time to focus on His presence.
Be Consistent: Stay committed to the fast and the instructions provided, trusting that your sacrifice will lead to greater breakthroughs.
Trust God’s Leading: Know that God honors obedience, and He is faithful to meet us in this consecration.
Together, we will move forward in unity, expectation, and faith, believing that God’s plans for us in this new year are greater than we can imagine.
Let us begin this journey with confidence and surrender.

Here is some information about the Daniel Fast as we prepare for our first fast of 2025
The Daniel Fast is inspired by the fasting practices of the Old Testament prophet Daniel. It is a partial fast, meaning some foods are consumed while others are restricted. This spiritual discipline is designed to deepen your connection with God through prayer and intentional dietary choices.
Participating in a period of extended prayer and fasting is like pressing the “pause button” on the distractions of life, allowing you to draw nearer to God. As you open your heart during this sacred time, the Holy Spirit will join you, guiding and transforming you to receive from the Lord in profound ways.
Fasting is more than just abstaining from certain foods; it’s a choice to focus on spiritual growth rather than the cravings of the flesh. You can either center your fast around physical matters or embrace a deeper spiritual experience where God can work in your life and on your behalf. Don’t settle for less by catering to temporary comforts; instead, strive for God’s best and allow Him to minister to your heart. This is a period where we need to really press in and seek God in a deeper fashion. 2024 brought many natural and spiritual challenges for many of us naturally and spiritually and we stand in need of guidance, breakthrough, healing and deliverance in order to fully embrace what God has in store for us.
As we seek God’s guidance to unify us as a body this year, let us commit to lifting each other in prayer and dedicating this season of fasting to our personal and collective spiritual growth. Together, we can experience God’s transformative power in our lives and our community.
I have included some resources to help us as we press in this week, to help us be successful in our seek.
