The Season of "RE": RE-Evaluate

Updated: May 22

Wow, May is almost over! January felt like a year but February and March flew by. We are already in the second quarter of the year. How is your “Season of “RE” going? Have you taken some time to re-evaluate, restructure, and recommit?

These first few months of 2024, have been a world wind for me. It is one thing to set out to apply these three terms to your life on a broad spectrum, but when you apply them to the minor and the deeper intricacies of your life, it can challenge you to keep going.

Let’s start with “Re-evaluate”, if you are anything like me you make plans, set goals, and hold tight to timelines based on how you believe things should go. Taking into account the vision Pastor Tamara gave us for this year, I had to truly reevaluate my priorities and remember what it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV), “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”. This scripture reminded me, although it may be true that what I am working toward is something God wants me to do, something He wants me to accomplish- this just may not be the season for it!!! I would like to ask you the same questions I asked myself:

Have you been investing your time and energy into things that align with only your aspirations, and if so are they aligned with your values and the things that God has instructed you to do in this season of your life?

Are there areas of your life that require adjustment or realignment? (There’s that “RE” again!!!

I would say take time to reflect and pray so you can get clarity on what truly matters and make God lead choices as you move forward.
